Matt Williams Realtor®, Broker, GRI
Matt Williams represents the region's finest properties with exceptional skill using the most innovative technologies currently available. Matt offers ultimate privacy and security, speed, and efficiency. His years of full-time experience have given him a clear understanding of the mindset of home buyers and sellers and a thorough understanding of the regional marketplace.
Matt believes strongly in rendering service in a candid and straightforward manner. With a "Get by Giving" attitude, he feels it is most important to tell people what they need to hear, than simply what they want to hear. Specializing in working with sellers, Matt doesn't take listings for the sake of getting a sign in the yard. He only takes a listing if he can look the seller in the eye and honestly believe he can get it sold.
As Chief Operating Officer for Schuler Bauer, Matt is responsible for overseeing all Sales, Marketing, Training and Technology functions for the firm. Managing a company with upward of 200 people is no small task, and fortunately, he relies heavily on the best and most talented real estate management team in Southern Indiana. Engaging good people, empowering them to do the job, and getting out of the way is central to his management philosophy. "The credit for our success goes to the team. My role is to help us stay focused, and take the blame if something goes wrong," he remarks.
Matt is very active in volunteer service within the community, having served as President of the Jeffersonville Rotary Club, a member of the Bob Hedge Park Renovation Committee and the City of Jeffersonville Comprehensive Plan Task Force. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Southern Indiana, and as a coach for YMCA Youth Sports and Jeff/GRC Little League Baseball.
Real estate is what Matt does for a living, but it's not his life. Family tops his list of priorities. He's been married to his lovely wife, Chris, since 1995 and has two sons, Jay (8) and Charley (4). With what little spare time he has, Matt also enjoys reading success & self-help books, and is an avid golfer.
